petanque.org is actually one of the oldest user-driven websites on the internet today. When we started up in 1997 there was no plan, it all started with a group of web-designers and programmers that enjoyed drinking beer at the local pub. However we realized that drinking beer was not a good excuse to leave home at any given time, we needed a better plan. Or just simply a plan. Full story

To our great surprise and joy petanque.org has been nominated for the 2000 European Online Journalism Awards . The awards will we handed out on July 6th, in London, England.

We have recieved an invitation to take part in the festivities, but as we are non-commercial and do not make any money we have a sligh cash-flow problem with plane-tickets etc..Full story
