I agree with Jeff Fox. For a few years, I'd use my leisure boules during the weekdays when I practiced (trained) - and took out my competition boules for the Saturday matches.

The leisure boules are about the same diameter as my competition boules (Integrale AC Bronze) but far lighter than the 715 grams of my bronzes.

So, I found it took a few ends of the initial game to "warm up" to the heavier boules.

Wht I should be doing is carry my Integrales with me on the weekdays too - so I use the consistent weight each time.

Now I'm considering obtaining a 2nd set of competition boules, MS Inox Cara Tortue - but want to get the same weight as the Integrales so I can switch between the two sets and not throw off my playing.
