Court Surfaces?

Does anyone know a suitable substitute for decomposed granite that be used as the surface of a court? We live in a part of the country where there is no granite, and I've been told limestone will change the ph of the Oak trees on our property. Can anyone make some suggestions as to what kind of material we should get? Thank you!

I'm no expert and I don't know the finer details but how about throwing down some gravel mixed with some sharp sand?

Oyster Shell will work nicely - they use it in Bocce courts all the time - no PH issues that I am aware of. I built my court out of decomp, but I know several folks who use Oyster shell.
