At last we have a sucess here at petanque.org. We have spendt a lot of time making all kind of information about the game, but as it turns out, all you really want is... postcards.
As we went throught last years log it turns out that our excellent book-database with 300 books about petanque, the ancient rules from the 18th century, tips on gameplay, the club databse and everything else is not very interesting.
We have wasted a lot of energy making actual content it seems..
The postcards-secion has taken us to a new height - 350.000 hits since 1 january - just for the postcards. Amazing. It must be all the postcards about fanny...
But please , stop by the other pages as well , they do contain some good information as well. Some of them even have pictures :-)
And if you wondered: in the last 12 months we had 1.7 million pageviews.
For some reason the worl championship in petanque is held in the buzzling metroloplis of Tahiti this year! So pack your swimwear and go there at once!
Finally petanque has found a new home, as a bar game! Althought it might take a few years befor the darts-boards get the boot and petanque moves in everywhere it has started to happen

We stumbled across a petanque-game for the andoid-system. From the produces description:"Petanque in St Tropez is a 3D bowls game, as played on the mediterannean coast." We do not have an android-phone to test it on, perhaps one of you can help us out?
