It was a friendly occasion, much fun, causes and a fantastic atmosphere. The weather was fine in the beginning, but the rain in the afternoon made this tournament really special and unforgettable.

Jokes, wet people throwing the boules… Players didn`t want to leave the terrains and the games never stopped. But the finals continued in the sunny-conditions and on the dry terrains.

28 teams participated in the tournament:
15 teams – St.Petersburg Petanque Club. President – Ruslan Svetlichny.
5 teams – Moscow Petanque Club Buddy. President – Eugene Osokin.
1 team – Petanque south (Rostov on Done)
1 team – Petanque south (Novorossiisk)
1 team – Petanque Kaluga
1 team – Petanque Club Bumer (Belgorod)
1 team – Petanque Bavaria (Capitan – Alex Bauer)
2 teams – Petanque Club “Bajen”, Stockholm, Sweden (Capitan – Hasse Hagberg)

The tournament was held in four groups of 7 teams. Then the 4 best teams were fighting for the cup!

1 Bajen (Sweden)
2 Kiss (Germany)
3 Peter –2 (St.Petersburg)
4 Autoradio (St.Petersburg)

The results of the demifinals:
Bajen – Autoradio (13:8)
Kiss – Peter-2 (13:11)

The final was played by the teams Bajen and Kiss!!!

The scores of the final games:
Sweden – Germany (13-3)
Autoradio – Peter-2 (13:10)

And the winner was:
Sweden (Bajen) – 1 place
Germany (Kiss) – 2-nd place
Autoradio – 3-d place
Peter-2 – 4-th place

The Sweden team won the cup, but didn`t take it to Sweden!!! The 1-st cup was given to the best well-dressed team (have a look at the pictures – you`ll find them for sure)

This was the first tournament for many of the participants… and it will stay in memories of the players for a long time!

Everybody is welcomed to St.Petersburg next year!

Many thanks to the organizers of the tournament St. Petersburg Petanque Club and to the Russian Petanque Federation.
